The change the healthcare industry desperately needs lies first and foremost in the hands of those actively making decisions on the ground floor — nurses. Of course, between exhaustive hours, regular life-or-death decisions, and that constant I-can’t-put-out-the-fire feeling, nurses bear the weight of the world on their shoulders. And all made worse by the Covid-19 pandemic. Yet with all of this pressure, nurses often lack the support they need to drive transformation in healthcare. The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) set out to address health issues by targeting the critical audience of nurses through a campaign that leveraged the voice that would have the most impact with this audience – their own.
